1. What exactly
is an affiliate program?
Within an affiliate programme
a merchant signs up to use our promotional services
and once joined as a client, we will issue links and
banners that can be placed on affiliate sites.
When a visitor to this site
clicks on these links or banners and completes a transaction
(buys a product from a merchant site or joins a mailing
list), the affiliate is paid a commission which is set
by the merchant website.
2. What commissions
can I expect to earn?
Commission structures vary from merchant to merchant
depending on their product or the service they provide
and the action they require your visitor to complete.
Commissions are predetermined and are paid to the affiliate
for each successful click, lead, or sale that the affiliate
generates depending on the merchant program.
Each merchant has different
commission structures, some pay a fixed percentage of
the sale value, a GBP value per sale generated, GBP
value per lead generated or a GBP value per click.
3. How does Commission
Monster earn money?
Each merchant signing up to the Commission Monster site
is charged transaction fees. These are based on how
much traffic we send their way and how many sales or
leads take place. There are no costs involved for affiliate
websites.
4. My Site is not UK-based.
Can I still use Commission Monster?
The simple answer is YES. We do have limitations on
how many currencies we offer, but most offshore affiliates
wish to get paid in USD or Euros, which we fully cater
for.

5. Does Commission
Monster help prevent fraud within its system?
Security of the Commission Monster site is paramount
for both affiliates and its merchants.
If we suspect fraudulent activities
or if particular incidents are reported to us, be assured
we take IMMEDIATE ACTION. To protect our affiliates
and merchants against any fraudulent activities we have
in-built security measures within our system that can
easily pick up these sorts of activities.
Merchant clients only pay for
valid leads sales and clicks. Please DO NOT even try
to cheat our system as it DOES NOT WORK. Commission
Monster will only track transactions that come directly
from the registered URL or domain. Legal action will
be taken if we find any merchant or affiliate trying
to violate our system. We have a zero tolerance policy
for such abuse!
6. How does Commission
Monster make sure I get the appropriate commissions?
When someone clicks on a merchant link or banner from
one of our affiliates sites, the visitor is linked via
the Commission Monster system to the merchant site.
Any activities that are performed on the merchant site
are then tracked making sure you receive payment. This
all takes place without your visitor even realising.

1. What is the process
of becoming an affiliate of Commission Monster?
Simply create an account and you will be given your
personal ID and password. You are then free to choose
from many different merchant programmes which are divided
up into separate categories for your convenience.
After reading the affiliate
agreement, simply choose which programs you wish to
participate in. Once you have been approved, simply
place the banners or text links onto your site and start
earning commissions.
2. How long does it
take for links to be placed on my site?
For most website owners, it is simply a case of cutting
and pasting the HTML link provided from the merchant
onto your website. It should only take a couple of minutes
and you are ready to start earning commissions.
3. If I'm sending out
newsletters to members, can I include merchant links?
Yes. You may provide these if members have chosen to
receive your newsletters. However, we will not tolerate
the distribution of our merchant links in the form of
spam. Websites found to be sending out 'spam' will be
dropped from our programme and all commissions will
be withheld. We are very serious about this issue!
4. How long does the
process take to be accepted for a merchants programme?
Many of our merchants automatically approve affiliates.
Should merchants wish to evaluate your site before giving
approval, the process will usually take around 48 hours.
The timeframe is determined by the merchant not Commission
Monster.
5. Once I have joined
a merchants program, can I ever remove it if required?
As an affiliate you have complete control over the programmes
you promote on your site. The moment you wish to discontinue
promoting any given merchant on your site it is simply
a matter of removing their link from your site. No prior
notice needs to be given before taking down merchants'
links or banners.
6. I have joined a
merchant's program and as an affiliate and I've generated
commissions, why haven't I been paid?
Commission Monster has a minimum threshold of £500GBP
that must be reached before we send out a cheque or
directly deposit funds into an affiliate account.
Whilst payments are made every month, they are paid
two months in arrears. If your account does not reach
the required £500GBP threshold, funds will be
carried forward to the next month.
To ensure proper payment is
made, please make sure that all your payment details
are correct. As security is of primary concern, Commission
Monster uses encryption technology to protect your personal
payment information.
7. Do I have to wait
to get approved as an affiliate before I place links
on my site?
If a merchant automatically approves you, then you are
free to place their promotional materials on your site
effective immediately. If you have not been approved,
please wait until you have received this email before
you place any links or banners from that particular
merchant programme on your site. If you place links
on your site before this process is completed you will
not be paid any commissions earned prior to approval.
8. If I have more than
one site, can I use the same merchant links on each
site or elsewhere such as on Chat Groups, guest books
etc?
You may place links only on sites 'you' specifically
own. Affiliates must be mindful of our anti-spam policies
and under no circumstances are they permitted to place
provided links on chat groups or other peoples guestbooks.
If you are unsure whether or
not you are allowed to place links you are obligated
to make contact and seek our permission first. We again
remind you of the serious consequences for affiliates
who breach our spam policy (refer to point 3 above if
unclear).
9. How do I register
another site on my account?
When joining as an affiliate for the first time you
can allocate up to three websites. If you wish to register
another website you do not have to apply for another
affiliate account, you can simply contact us via the
contact form requesting approval. Once approved, you
can place your affiliate links on them as normal.
10. Why can't I see
generated clicks, leads and sales for a merchant site
within my statistics?
Please ensure that you have the exact details of any
links that the merchant has provided to you. You will
not receive statistics for a merchant if you have been
denied access to their programme. Should you experience
any other technical problems, please contact us immediately
and we will promptly look into your situation.
11. Why is it that
I have not been approved for a particular merchant?
It is not up to Commission Monster to approve you. Each
individual merchant can chose whether or not they wish
you to help promote their service or products. If a
merchant does not want to associate itself or its brand
with the content on your website, it is at the merchants
sole discretion whether or not to accept you as an affiliate.
12. What is a unique
visitor?
A "unique visitor" simply means that the system
is set up will register one click per IP address per
merchant program for a 24 hour period. Any links that
are automatically opened do not constitute a valid click
no matter how large or small the window is, or how this
window opened.
Any affiliates that are found
to be attempting to generate additional revenue through
the use of illegal clicks, leads or sales will not only
be dropped from the Commission Monster programme but
will also forfeit any commissions previously earned.
13. As an affiliate,
when should I expect to receive payment from Commission
Monster?
While payments are made on a monthly basis, please be
aware that all commissions are paid two months in arrears.
For example, payments for commissions earned up until
the end of February are paid at the end of April. This
allows us to invoice and collect outstanding payments
from the merchants involved in the programme.
14. Do I have to pay
tax on the commission amounts I have earned via Commission
Monster?
Yes. For those affiliates who are self-employed, you
must pay this tax yourself. If you have registered as
a company, you MUST provide us with your company registration
number and pay taxes and handle the VAT as required
by the Inland Revenue office. If you do not provide
Commission Monster with your company registration number
we are required by the Inland Revenue office to withhold
48.5 per cent and to pay this directly to them.
15. If I have more
than one account with Commission Monster, can I transfer
money between my two accounts?
Sorry but the answer is no, even if your name is the
registered holder of both the affiliate accounts.
